The estimated Total Capital Cost of the SPST
project, fully instrumented for two key programs is $28.8M.
Some of this is past expenditure, some will be borne by the NSF Office
of Polar Programs, and some by the International Partners.
The estimated Annual Operating Cost is $5.6M (2008
dollars).

The telescope is scheduled for installation
at the South Pole in 2005, when logistical resources become available
with the completion of the South Pole Station Modernization project. |
