Public Affairs Specialist

I'm a public affairs specialist at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. This means that I have the great pleasure of educating people about the latest cosmic discoveries and astronomical mysteries revealed. I also get to open the public’s eyes to the many wonders of the night sky.

One of my main tasks is writing and distributing press releases about CfA research. I also write articles for publications like Sky & Telescope magazine. In addition, I help coordinate and conduct our many public events such as lectures and star parties. I also give public talks on various astronomical topics.

Outside of work, my favorite activities involve airplanes and flying. I'm the newsletter editor for Chapter 673 of the Experimental Aircraft Association and the AOPA Airport Support Network volunteer at Marlboro Airport.
