Notes on the Clusters

A119
A peak between 9000 and 12000 km/s is localized within the cluster. I have removed those velocities as foreground elements (e.g., Fabricant, et al. AJ 105:3 788 1993) See Table 2 and Table 4 for dynamical information including these cut galaxies.
A151
There are two other clusters to the south at velocities of 12500 km/s and 30000 km/s.

A505
empty field, 4 galaxies in cluster
A569
There is another cluster centered about 7h8m and 50.2d (B1950), to the north of A569.
A634
Another cluster lies at edge of field at z=5700 km/s; the cluster is possibly double with a peak between 6500-7700 km/s, east of the main cluster.

A979
A galaxy at z~19000 km/s may be in the cluster. Dynamical information of the cluster with this galaxy may be found in Table 2 and Table 4.
A993
This cluster has a large spread in velocities, 9000-18000 km/s.
A1016
There are two clusters: the one labelled 'A' has a velocity range of 9000-12000 km/s, and 'B' has a range of 12000-17000 km/s.
A1069
A peak at 16000-17000 km/s may be in the cluster. Dynamical information for the cluster with this peak is in Table 2 and Table 4.

A1254
There is confusion over cluster location. On the DSS image, the cluster appears to the west of Abell coordinates, but may be confused with brighter galaxies to the east. The data from ZCAT lists one galaxy in the cluster, at z=45564 km/s. An X-ray source is found at 11h27m25.00s +71d07m24.5s (ROSAT, J2000).
A1257
The center appears to lie offset from the Abell coordinates at 11h24m30s and 35.75d.
A1270
1 velocity, no dispersion The center appears to lie offset from the Abell coordinates at 11h26m25s and 54d24m (B1950). Another cluster sits at 11h27m55s and 54d18m23s (B1950).
A1436

A1736
There are two clusters, one at 9000-11400 km/s, labelled A, and one at 11400-16000 km/s, labelled B.
A1890

A2052
There is another cluster in the western part of the field, 12000-16000 km/s, as well as to the north-east (A2063).
A2063
There is a background cluster in the field, to the south, at 12500-16000 km/s.
A2147, A2151, A2152
are all on same field.
A2148
There is no clearly identifible cluster on the histogram, and the galaxies that appear in the spatial plot have a large spread in velocity.
A2162
There are two clusters; the one labelled 'A' is within the velocity range of 8500-12000 km/s, while 'B' has a 12000-17500 km/s velocity range.

A2255
has foreground galaxies superimposed upon the cluster.
A2319
has background galaxies superimposed upon the cluster.
A2626
There are 3 clusters on the field. The main cluster, A, has a redshift of z=.055. Superimposed upon this cluster, or maybe slightly to the south of it, is a background cluster, B, at z=20000 km/s. To the northeast, at 23h36m30s and 21.2d, is another background cluster, C, at z=20000 km/s. This cluster may be in A2637, which is not in our cluster sample.

A2824
While the cluster appears on the DSS image, there is no data for it in ZCAT. In addition, a cluster appears offset at 48m and 22.25d (B1950) at the redshift listed for A2824.
A2870
is on same field as A2877, which lies to the north.
A2877
appears on the same field as 2870.
A3193
A background cluster appears at 25000 km/s.
A3301

A3389
The histogram for A3389 has a long, upper tail; we chose to cut outliers at 12000 km/s.
A3537
There are two clusters, one labelled A at 6500-12500 km/s and one labelled B at 12500-18500 km/s.
A3558
appears as the middle cluster in a line of 3 or more clusters.
A3560
While centered by Abell by a bright galaxy, the distribution of galaxies in A3560 appears to be to the east of Abell coordinates.
A3571
occupies same field as A3571 and A3575.
A3572
occupies same field as A3572 and A3575.
A3575
occupies same field as A3572 and A3571.
A3577
Galaxies with velocities between 11000-12000 km/s may be cluster members. See Table 2 and Table 4 for dynamical information including these galaxies.
A3651
No cluster appears at Abell coordinates, but a cluster at same redshift as ESO measurement appears in field, to the east.
A3716
A cluster appears to lie directly to the north of A3716.
