Abstract
Mike Alexandersen is a MPC Fellow at the Minor Planet Center (MPC), located at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (CfA) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Mike holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. degrees in astronomy at the University of Copenhagen in Copenhagen, Denmark, and a Ph.D. in astronomy from the University of British Columbia in Vancouser, British Columbia, Canada. After his Ph.D. Mike was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Academia Sinica Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics in Taipei, Taiwan, for 4.5 years before coming to CfA.
Mike's research focuses on the outer Solar System, the Kuiper Belt and Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs), although he also works on Centaurs, coorbital asteroids, and natural satellites of the giant planets.
Mike's MPC services include processing of observations of TNOs and natural satellites, as well as code development.
