SHELS SHELS

SHELS (Smithsonian Hectospec Lensing Survey) is a dense redshift survey covering 8 square degrees in two well-separated 4 square degree fields of the Deep Lens Survey (DLS). The survey is complete to R = 20.6. SHELS takes its name from the original goal of comparing the matter distribution revealed by a foreground redshift survey with the weak lensing maps of the DLS.

HeCS HeCS

HeCS (Hectospec Cluster Survey) is the largest survey to date of clusters in the redshift range z = 0.1-0.3. The survey includes a total of 22,680 redshifts in the fields of 58 clusters. The redshift surveys include 10,145 cluster members. Rines et al. (2013) includes on-line data tables for the entire survey.

HectoMAP HectoMAP

HectoMAP is a panoramic redshift and deep imaging survey covering a contiguous area of 50 square degrees in a 1.5 x 35 degree strip (Geller et al (2012)). The survey has a limiting magnitude of r = 21.3, a median redshift is 0.34, and is limited to red galaxies (g-r > 1 and r-i > 0.5). With more than 70,000 redshifts, the survey is currently complete to r = 20.5.
