What do we hope to do?

We hope to find ways to give artists an insight into the experience of being a scientist and scientists a glimpse of what it means to be an artist. This is not intended to be a review or a philosophical discussion but a lively demonstration of some intersections of art and science. We aim to explore ways to provide insights into the activities involved in creating art and doing scientific research. The hope is that the participants will gain a deeper understanding of the differences between artistic and scientific activities.

The symposium is open to all, and is free with the exception of a $10 entrance fee for the Paine Hall concert and discussion Saturday night.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
