Fourth ExampleWave normal to reflector, 0.5 mm wide gap, transverse polarization

Panel Gap Models for the SPT

This is identical to the third example, except that the gap is half as wide.  The amount of power absorbed into the TE01 mode and the amount of power that is isotropically scattered is about half as much.  The power lost to the incident beam is approximately equal to the incident power on the area of the gap. The rms field strength of the incoming wave is 1 V/m.
