The longest person on Observatory Hill -- since 1946. My course of "The Astronomical Perspective" became the longest Harvard course under the same management by the time I retired in 2000. A world authority on Copernicus and Kepler. Author on science and religion. 17-year member of Gruber Prize selection committee, former vice president of American Philosophical Society.
