Charles Alcock is the former director of the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, a position he held for 17 years until January 2022. Charles remains a Professor of Astronomy at Harvard University and a Senior Scientist at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory pursuing research related to the Taiwan-America Occultation Survey.
