About

Jake Bennett is part of the Simons Foundation's "Learning the Universe" collaboration, and is based at the Institute for Theory and Computation at the CfA. Jake uses cosmological simulations to investigate how galaxies grow and evolve, with a particular focus on the gas flows into, out of, and around galaxies. He is also investigating how feedback from supermassive black holes impacts such gas, and the role black holes play in galaxy evolution, particularly in the early Universe.

PhD in Astronomy, Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge; MSci in Physics with Theoretical Astrophysics, University of Nottingham, 2018
