About
Tobias Looser is a postdoctoral research fellow working with Prof. Daniel Eisenstein. His research focuses on galaxy formation and evolution in the early universe, mainly using data from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). He is the principal investigator of the JWST Cycle 3 Program OASIS (#5997), which aims to characterise star formation histories in the first billion years of cosmic history. He is actively involved in major international collaborations, including the JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey (JADES), the Galaxy Assembly with NIRSpec IFS (GA-NIFS) Survey, and MOONRISE - a next-generation galaxy survey using the Multi-Object Optical and Near-infrared Spectrograph (MOONS) on the Very Large Telescope (VLT).
