About

I am a Solar Physicist at the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) in the Solar Solar, Stellar, and Planetary Sciences Division (SSP). My scientific interests encompass helioseismology, asteroseismology, and, exo-planet detection. My current research focuses on helioseismology, the study of solar oscillations, with an emphasis changes in the Sun associated to the solar cycle. I am a co-investigator on the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager (HMI) experiment on-board the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO/NASA). I am also the high performance computing (HPC) analyst for SAO and the HPC support scientist for the Smithsonian Institution Research Computing Office. As such, I provide support to SAO's scientists to make optimal use ofthe Smithsonian Institution's HPC resources, and assist the SI Research Computing Office in designing and configuring the Institution's HPC offerings.
